Day 19 of 2014.

It has been 2 weeks since I started work at Zalora. I have not done anything too in depth into buying, my job scope currently is only data entry and using excel. Hopefully I can get a better experience of fashion buying soon, if not I have to make plans to make my LOA more well spent!

The company culture is very interesting. The average age is 28 and the office itself has over 30 different nationalities. The company has not much of a hierarchy, which I find it very westernize and interesting. I had worked in many companies, but have never seen a company like that. I especially love to observe the people around me, on how they communicate and their work hahahaha, too bored alrd you know!!! 

Food around town is soooooo expensive! And my intern pay is so pathetic (still got deduct CPF leh !@#$%^%^&) that I cooked my own lunch to work almost everyday! My routine everyday is wake up 30 to 45 mins earlier than usual to cook -> wash up, make up and go out -> work work work ->  come home for dinner, rest and slack a while, wash up -> prepare veggie for the next day -> sleep and it's a repeat again. It's more tiring than schooling I feel! Prolly because it's 10 to 7 and Mon to Fri, when school is only few days and definitely shorter!

I MISS SCHOOL I WILL DEFINITELY WORK HARDER FOR NEXT SEM

ON A SIDE NOTE, an update of my life recently!

Sometime I did up when I was bored! 

Wanted to put this in office, but my office and my table is pathetic D:. I think Zalora is expanding too fast but there's no space to fit all the employees already. So I just left this at home instead...

Had to dress up for work on one weekend, and here's me in Nyonya costume! People said I look damn demure and my mum said I look good in it so I'm posting this HAHAHAH! #egoboost 有没有 有没有！

And then a meet up with the Seattle girls (+ 1 guy)! We just talk talk talk, and sometimes I really suspect Jerome is a girl in disguise because he's so 38 and can join in the gossip HAHAA!

And a shopping trip with my dear bff, and here's what I bought! 3 tops, 4 bottoms, 2 necklaces, and a pair of heels for $197 in total!!! I really opportunistic buyer hahahaha! 

One of  the Taiwanese we met in ASES Taiwan Summit came to Singapore, and we decided to show our hospitality and brought them to Chomp Chomp for dinner! Look at the amount of food we ordered! We managed to finish them all O.O!

Wait ah need to zoom out a bit...

SEEE!!!! And that's not all! Steven (we call him Tomato because his chinese name is Fan jie) ordered another 2 plates of cockles and crayfish!!! The table too small to fit all the plates that the uncle beside us let us put our drinks and plates there HAHAAH!

Taiwanese really very friendly! They kept saying everything very nice, and want to pay for all the food! But of course not, although they are guys, we still split by paying some of the dishes! I think they friendliness influenced the hawker uncles too, a few uncles was chatting with Steven and even talked to him when we were leaving!

Okay that's all off to nua again! Weekend is so precious now! 

TAIWAN PART 2

DAY 3

Day 3 ootd! Wearing new floral crop tee and two tone shorts!

So, we got sick of the hotel breakfast and decided to head out to hunt for Taiwan breakfast! Found this 永和豆浆 in the corner of 西门町!

We found the famous ice cream stall in 西门町 so we had it too although I was super full!

After breakfast, we headed to 师大 as we found many comments about the place and the boutiques there! However, we were lost and we walked like 2 hours aimlessly! When we were about to give up, we finally found the place!!!!! And so the shopping began again hahaha~

Day 3 loots! 

Bought a cap, couple bags for my boy and I, one floral dress, a pair of shorts, lots of sunblock and cosmetics, and others 有的没的! Love snowflakes designs on the shorts, my new favourite shorts now hehe! ^.^ The sunblocks are super cheap in Taiwan, so grab more grab more! 

Decided to splurge a bit for dinner, so we went to a cafe! There's lots of cafes in 师大, so people who like cafe hunting would want to go there!

DAY 4

Day 4 ootd! Wearing the bandaged top I won from Wisteria giveaway! 

The night before, we walked past this bakery and it smelled so good and its filled with people inside. As a Singaporean, I was curious and went in, and I bought this tart that tempted me!

So I had the tart for breakfast, we slacked in the room till afternoon and went out for lunch!

Shiteng wanted to eat shaved ice, but some baseball stars were filming at the place and it's filled with fans, and in the end the store stopped taking in order :(. So we had to roam around 西门町 till the filming end and we can eat our shaved ice!

So finally! Mine is the mixed fruit shaved ice!

So after that, we decided to head back to 士林夜市 again for shopping as the place is really too big and we didn't finish looking through the whole place on the first night! And for dinner we had street food again! I have to share with y'all my favourite stall in 士林!

As you can see, my loots were getting lesser and lesser day by day, because my money was depleting at high rate hahahah! The 2 long tees were only 175NT each, and my boots was like S$8 only! Really need to dig for these goodies! Love my new socks, so cute can!! And my Iphone case, how can it be so cuteeeee! The person was selling at 350NT at first, maybe I seem too interested and she charged me at 250NT only!

TAIWAN PART 1

DAY 1

On the plane

So on 1st July morning, Shi Teng and I boarded our plane and off we went to Taiwan! My third time to Taiwan, but still excited like the first! And after about 4 hours of flight, we finally reached Taiwan! Cabbed to our hotel, and the hotel gave us free upgrade to 3 pax room and free breakfast every morning!

After slacking in the room for a while, we finally stepped out on to the streets of Taiwan!

My ootd for Day 1! Love my cap I got from gmart which is the one Song Ji Hyo wore!

First destination was 台北车站! There is some underground shopping area under the metro station. We walked through the whole place, but nothing much that attracts me! Everywhere is pretty much selling the same stuff, and in the end we both didn't buy anything and decided to head off to 士林夜市! It is really big, selling food, clothes, shoes and many other items! Everyone who go Taipei should really go that place! 

And here are my loots from 士林夜市. Firstly the food to satisfy my hunger for the whole day (budget airline doesn't provide mea :( )...

阿宗面线, a must try in Taiwan! They have outlets in 士林夜市 and 西门町! The  面线 is really thin and the gravy is good! 

And this twirling fried potatoes! I would say it's only so-so, I expected it to be like potato chips, but it's thicker! Nothing special about it

And my shopping loots! 

Okay a bit crazy because it was only day 1 and all these were from just the night market ALONE! Bought 4 pairs of shorts, 1 denim vest, 1 floral romper, 1 top, 1 pair of floral sneakers, 1 pouch (or pencil case I don't know its cheap so I grabbed it!), 1 floral drawstring bag and 2 pairs of shades! I'm trying to be more feminine hence so many floral stuff HAHAHA! It's like the trend in Taiwan one, everywhere also floral, so have to get them hahaha! And the drawstring bag, it's like so 邋遢 in Singaporean sense, but it's trending in Taiwan that so many girls and guys I saw used them! So I got myself one handmade floral drawstring bag and there's only one of it in the whole world HEHEHE! 

DAY 2

Made the effort to dress up, so here's my OOTD for day 2! I looked thin in this picture hehe!

We had our lunch before we started shopping at 五分埔. 五分埔 is Taipei's commercial wholesale district. It's super big that I couldn't finish even after being there 3 times! We had our lunch at a small stall just beside the entrance of 五分埔.

Hmmm I think shopping in 五分埔 requires lot of skills. They don't have nice and cheap clothes everywhere, we will have to dig for good stuff in the stores. For me, price is more than anything at a wholesale place, so I dug at every sales corner and managed to get many cheap stuff! And at 五分埔, it's important to bargain, because the shop owners anyhow name you a price one! I encountered one store, the boss charged me 200NT but the sales keeper wanted to collect 300NT from me! So the rule is to just bargain, if it's not the price you want just walk away because you possibly will find the same thing at another store too.

So in the end, I got myself 5 tops (2 long ones to wear as dress), 2 dresses, 1 pair of shorts and 3 pairs of socks!

Done with our shopping, we went to 饶河夜市 to get our street food! It was raining really heavily and we had to settle in a store before the rain got smaller.

So we had mango shaved ice while waiting!

And when the rain got smaller, we continued on our street food hunt!

Saw many people queuing for this so we went to get one too (Singaporean style~), 玉子烧, soso only, just egg with some other filling!

This store was hidden at the back, but it definitely worth people's attention! Baked potato with some fillings and damn thick nacho cheese! DABOMBXZ!

And my all-time favourite, 台湾香肠!

Happy Weekend!

Last week was an enjoyable week!

I was super lucky recently!! I won 2 giveaways from the blogshops that I kept sharing on my facebook! Happy~~~~~~ 1 $20 voucher (which I spent already...) and an item (still not known yet because the blogshop has not reply me!)! Hehehehe will continue to like and share and hopefully win moreeeeee~

I also won a pair of priority passes to the above event! Was quite lucky to be one of the 25 people selected from 180 who participated! 

Went down to Scape alone on Saturday, and honestly, the event was a huge disappointment! Okay, maybe it's just normal but it's was my first time to such event, so it's really different from what I've thought! I thought it would be big with many clothes, but in the end it was only 3 tables of clothes and we had to squeeze and snatch like those maids do in other fleas! Somemore they made us queued for one hour (even with the priority passes) and under the rain! 

Luckily my boyfriend came to find me before the event starts! And once it started, the nice clothes all gone before it was my turn to enter :(. And it was so hard for me to squeeze with the young girls! Tried to be a little bitchy by really pushing to get into the pile of clothes, but those girls still won me :'(. And this was when my boyfriend became 100000x more man, as he initiated to help me grab some clothes from the other sides, and the next moment I saw him squeezing in with the girls and grabbed clothes for me! He was few guys accompanying their girlfriends there, and definitely the only one who squeezed into the pile of clothes! SO MAN~~~~~ 

And all thanks to him, I managed to get 3 tops, 1 skirt and 1 shorts all for $10 each! After that we went to Cineleisure for lunch. And guess what, we took 2 hours to get from the first floor to the restaurant! HAHAHA it's damn funny how we got attracted into almost every store because of the word 'SALES'! And Hurs was having a crazy sales, and I got a bag and a pair of shoes for $10 each too!!!! I actually wanted more, but comparing $10 and $20, its more worth to get the $10 ones right HAHAHA #cheapo. 

After much difficulties, we finally reached A.venue Bistro! My boyfriend ordered Baked Cheesy Penne for me because he said I'm going to like it!

I would say it's quite unique, it looks like a cake when it's pasta hahahah! It was nice at first, because it was nicely baked and the cream base is really thick and creamy! But after a while I was quite sick of it, because it's only penne and maybe a few slices of sausages. I don't taste much cheese too, even though Eugene said it's VERY cheesy, I feel that its more like creamy than cheesy. Overall I would rate it 3.5/5, given that its quite unique and the price was affordable!
