Batam I, 16.12.13

16.12.13

Early in the morning, we took bus and cab to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal! Checked in, and we had our breakfast there. The meals in the ferry terminal are freaking expensive, around $6 for a plate of chicken rice! It's out to earn tourists money I guess, but it totally spoilt my appetite!
one stupid leaf had to be stuck on the windows and ruined my photo -.-
wearing our couple Birkenstock out hehe!
永远不放手

Waited for a while, and we finally got on the ferry! It's was so full that we had to sit in the lower level, and there's nothing I can see or take photo of :(
My view: just a fogged window :(
So we took photos of ourselves instead!

And after half of hour of ride, we finally reached! The seats at the lower level is so rocky and really made me wanna puke D:! Eugene kept telling me not to have expectation for the place, and it's very rural! But okay what, not as bad as I've imagined!

Turi Beach Resort provides free shutter service to the resort, with staff waiting outside the arrival place for us! (Y)

Spotted someone para-sailing as soon as we reached the place!
We had a few hours to spare before we can get our room, so we roamed around the place! First, to find a place to take my ootd HAHAHA!

got model feel *.*
The pool is so pretty!!
Another pool in the resort
My boy is always taking care of me! :') carrying all my bags while I excitedly taking photos all around!
Didn't want to let our time go into waste, so we decided to go to town and be back to check in at night! We took a cab down to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. It is the biggest shopping center in Batam, with 6 storeys of stores and restaurants. One of our biggest expenses is definitely cab fare, one way trip to Nagoya is around S$15, so back and fro is S$30. There's no public transport or motorbikes to rent, so that's the only alternative we have to travel around :/.

Eugene wanted to try some Indonesian cuisine, so we had Ayam Penyet for lunch. Even though he asked for no spicy (I don't take spicy food), the food still ended up spicy!!! :(

All these for only around S$8?! DAMN CHEAPPPP
Wanted to walk around the mall to do some shopping, but most of the stuff are imitation goods and totally not our type of clothes :/. We ended up at the Arcade, and it's only 10 cents per coins, and a game at most costed 3 coins! WE LOVE THE ARCADE HEHEHE! They have those big coin dozer machines that is similar to casino's slot machines, and we were so addicted to it! SO FUN I WANNA PLAY AGAIN! It's so addicting that we spent few hours on the machine, and finally forced ourselves to get out of the place to do something else! There's a lot of aunties and uncles "chopping" the seats on the coin dozer machines so I guess it's really like a casino for them there!

We tried out some roadside stalls for dinner! The food was super good, even better the restaurants we had. The uncles were really nice to us too!

Preparing the food
Nasi Goreng! It's super good! Best fried rice I ate in my life! S$1.50 only!
satay! S$2 only!
And then, it's our spa time! We managed to get a couple room in a (quite) famous spa parlor, after waiting for an hour. It's featured on tripadvisor and some other travel websites, our taxi driver recommended us to go to this place and it was definitely a great place! Here it is, The Spa Secret! It's just opposite Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall!

I would really recommend everyone to go there if you're going Batam and looking for a decent spa parlor! There have packages available, we took Jasmine Green Tea package, costing around S$70. It includes foot scrub, full body massage, full body scrub, sauna, jacuzzi and spa! Girls have an additional Revitalize smoke (steam) for you-know-where. And we were served jasmine green tea too! The whole procedure took around 2 and a half hour, it's super worth it lorh! The masseurs were very nice to us too, probably because she thought I was 16 years old only and treated me like a kid, tying my hair for me and applying body lotion hahahah!

They have other packages too! We wanted to try the red wine spa package, but it was above our budget (around S$100), so we had to choose another alternative! Here's our room, just for the two of us ^-^! Suitable for couples who want privacy, but I think have to make reservation just in case it's booked.

DAMN NICE RIGHT!!
Us after our spa!
And then cab back to our resort and finally checked in to our room! We got the last room in the whole stretch of rooms, and we had to climb up the damn steep slope every time! The room was smaller than I expected :/. I wanted a king size bed, but they given us a two queen size bed. I guess this is the bad part about checking in late.

And that's the end of Day One!
