Batam II, 17.12.13 to 18.12.13

17.12.13

Woke up in the morning to have breakfast in the resort. The breakfast selection is quite good, with a wide variety of food to choose from! (Y) We took a stroll around the sea in the resort after breakfast. My initial plan when booking the resort was to try out the water sports there, but it is sooooo expensive and obviously out to earn Singaporeans' money (many places actually have prices in SGD). 15 minutes of para-sailing costed almost S$40?! We couldn't afford most of them, so we decided to give up on the idea and find other stuff to entertain ourselves instead!

We headed back to our room to change to our swim suits. Went for a short dip in the pool, it was so cold but relaxing! Had a fun time just slacking around because we can't really swim without goggles.

After washing up, we headed to Batam City Square! The stuff there are so much better than Nagoya Hill, so much more trendy! I bought 2 dresses there hehehe, but they are not really cheap, I find them really unique so I bought them.

We had our lunch at Breeks Cafe!
His Hot Mocha!
My Hot Chocolate!
Salad combo. Weird combination to have nuggets inside the salad haha
Potato Island, I love potatoes! :D
His Cajun Chicken
My Salmon Steak, doesn't look appealing but it's good!

After lunch, we went to the arcade AGAIN. This time was worst, we spent almost 5 hours there without realizing it! When we were broke and came out of the place, everywhere was closed and the sky was dark long ago! We really cannot go casino together next time hahahaha, we will come out bankrupt!

We didn't have any phone so we couldn't call the taxi driver we knew from the hotel, had to flag one by the road side. We agreed on the price of 150k rupee, but when we were alighting, the uncle demanded us to pay him 200k. LIKE WTF OBVIOUSLY OUT TO CHEAT OUR MONEY! We couldn't communicate, so we asked the bellman in the hotel to help us convey the message that we DID agreed on the price before we sat on the cab. The bellman told us that he said this is the policy of the taxi and can't do anything about it. After arguing for few minutes, Eugene did not want to blow the matter up and just give him the 200k. Okay can I 忍. The next moment, I heard the taxi driver called out to the bellman, I turned around and saw him stuff a few notes of cash into his hand. FREAKING GOT CONNED RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES!!!!! I really damn angry, that I wrote a feedback form. Eugene talked to the guest relation manager about it the next day because this kind of action is really intolerable, especially in such a well known  resort! I don't know what they will do about it, but they took down our names and number.

18.12.13

Our last day in Batam! Had breakfast in the resort, and we went back to pack up and ready to leave! This time we went up to the top of the ferry so that I can take photos hehehe!

The reflection on the water makes the photo so pretty hehehe!
Good bye to Batam!
