EugandSH's vday 2014 :)

We had our gift exchange the day before because I didn't want to carry the gifts around for our date the next day. 

For him: a bundle of t shirts, cufflinks, bracelets and couple undies XD

And another handmade paper bike! This is more tedious than the previous one because it has 50 more parts and it's not fully covered, which means that every small part can be seen from the outside! Very satisfied, it looks nicer and cleaner than the previous one! 

For me: VS perfume and a bouquet of roses!

I had an off-in-lieu, so decided to apply it on 14 Feb so that we can spend the whole day together. Woke up in the morning, dressed up and off we went to our first destination : Singapore Zoo! 

Forced him to take an ootd before we set off, and he seems to enjoy it HAHAHA! Model siolllllll~

And my ootd, loving my new sandals from EZRA heh!

And he forced me to take a jump shot before I can go -____- We stood there bargaining for 5 mins, and then I gave in and did a graceful jump LOL

Okay, finally off to the zoo. We bought tickets for both River Safari and Zoo for $50 per pax. We went to Zoo first as our boat ride in River Safari was in the late afternoon.

This otter was diving non stop! Don't know whether was it to impress us or not lol, lai i rate you 10/10 good dive! :D

So this is how wolverine looks like. So different from what I thought because of the "wolverine" in x-men hahaha!

We went into this place called Fragile Forest, where animals are free to roam around. I was freaking out because butterflies were flying around us, I was afraid they will attack the bouquet but they were more interested in our hair LOL.

Serious looking duck. They were everywhere, just walking and strolling around the place LOL! We even saw a mother duck bringing her baby ducklings around!

The fiercest peacock I have ever seen, though this angle made it look silly hahaha! I was damn worried that it will attack me, since I was wearing a feather necklace that day.

We didn't have time to finish touring the whole Zoo and had to leave for River Safari as our boat ride was scheduled.

As soon as we got in, we rushed for our boat ride because we were almost late for it! The queue was sooooo long, and we saw Eugene's good friend and his gf there too hahaha, seems like zoo is a popular destination for vday!

We really damn suay, as soon as we got the boat ride waiting for it set off, it started drizzling, and the rain got heavily as our boat was touring the river. There's no shelter or whatsoever, we were only can sit there and let the rain fall on us, while watching the animals laze around and sleep zzzzzz. We were so drenched after the ride, but luckily my bf was sweet enough to put his cap on me, so my makeup was saved hahahahh! 

Couldn't go anywhere after the ride, so decided to have some snacks at Panda Mama's Kitchen! 

Marinated seaweed, mango pudding, chocolate custard panda pau, and soft drink in panda cup! The seaweed SUCKSSSS, don't ever order that! The pudding is soso, so not worth getting it. Get the pau!!

撒娇 with Eugene for damn long to get the Panda cup hahahah! I was like "pleaseeeeee~" for many times LOL. In the end the straw is detached from the cup and I cannot use it as a bottle oh man! 

After the meal, we went to the Panda house! 

The lazy Jiajia! She damn lazy that she didn't want to move her butt to get food, just stretch her hands to the leaves hahaha! Kaikai was a male but so shy that he just stayed in his room and didn't come out.

Our main course! Forgot the name of this but it's really good! Super love the mash potato, it freshly made with corns in them!

Overall, I think it's a good place to chill! The food is good, and there's a lot of variety of beers there! Too bad we can't drink as he was riding that day. 

Dessert at Salted Caramel! The waffle is really crispy, but I think the ice cream is so-so, probably I chose the wrong flavours.

It was a really fun and special day for me :). It has been very long since we went out for a proper date, especially for one whole day! Really enjoyed myself, laughing at his silly jokes, holding hands and touring around :) Simple things like these make me really happy, as we are too busy with work now that we are spending less and less time together. 

He's someone who don't care about days like Valentines Day and Anniversary, but because I do (first relationship mah! ><), he tries to make them special and significant for me. He thinks that flowers are a waste of money, but because I like them (我爱慕虚荣can?!), he buys bouquets for me every year. 

So thank you my dear, for loving me and putting in so much effort in this relationship. :')

除夕

As my company is a MNC, the management totally don't understand the Chinese culture :(. I had work until 4pm that day, and my boyfriend came over to fetch me over to his house for his reunion dinner. His dad ordered a CNY dinner set from online, and it don't taste as good, probably because it was pre cooked. I miss the super awesome 盆菜 his dad made last year!! T.T 

After dinner, we went to watch 金鸡ssss. I think it's quite funny but the story line no link one lol, prolly just adding random stories to get the different celebrities into the show.

Went home to change, and Eugene's dad drove us to Chinatown to buy 年货! Chinatown this year was a lot more crowded than last year, I guess it was because it didn't rain and the place is much cleaner. People didn't mark down their stuff a lot, so we only bought jelly and mochis. Finally went home at slept at 4am!!! @.@

初一

My parents went back to Malaysia, so I joined Eugene's family for CNY this year. Headed to his house for lunch, and then to his Grandpa's house to Bai Nian. Watched them play mahjong, Banluck a while, had dinner and that's the end of day 1 of CNY!


My ootd! Really love this dress from Megagamie! I waited almost 6 weeks for this backorder to arrive! It's a bit loose on me, especially the shoulder part, but it looks great in picture hahahah!

初二

Didn't join Eugene and his family as I wanted more rest and some alone time. CNY is too tiring, sleep late wake up early everyday! Dressed up and went to Daphne's house to Bai Nian. Played mahjong and some boardgame (AS USUAL), and my boy came to fetch me at night and brought me over to his house for gambling session with his friends. And finally went home at 2 plus @.@.

And once again, ootd! Crochet top from Faire Belle and mermaid skirt from Editor's Market :D

初三

Had lunch with Eugene's family, and then two of us went to town to walk around before heading to my uncle's house. Watched Eugene played mahjong with the adults, they were so fast that we couldn't catch! But luckily didn't lose a lot haha, and my ah gong won so I still gained some in the end XD.





And that's the end of my CNY holidays!

Meet up + Reunion Dinner

21 Jan

Met up with my uni clique for dinner on that day. While I was rushing over after my work, a guy approached me and tried to 搭讪-.-. He kept saying he has to know me etc, and pestering me to give him 5 mins to impress me. When I said I was already late, he said just give him 5 mins and he will carry me over -____-. In the end I just kept saying I don't have time and walked off and that's the end of the story. Although it was kinda irritating, I still feel damn Shuang and shiok to be approached even though I'm attached HAHAHA! Ego boost! XD 

We had dinner at Nam Nam Noodle Bar at Wheelock Place. They have quite decent Vietnamese food at affordable price. I tried some stirred fry dry noodle, requested for no spicy, and yet it was so spicy!! But spicy until very shiok that I want to eat, but I can't eat because my mouth was burning and I couldn't take the spiciness anymore. 



After dinner, we chilled at Jones the grocer at Ion. The place looked damn atas, at the top level of Ion. But actually the price is similar to a cafe price. We all had Ice chocolate as recommended by Zhenhao. It was quite good, with one scoop of Choco chips ice cream inside and some other stuff together, for $6.50 only! 

And then as usual it's ootd time! I missed school, the time when we studied together and took ootd shots for each other hahaha. Zh said my dress sense improved!! -scored one for fashion points- Even since I started working in the fashion industry, I did put extra effort to dress up! But I was really happy to hear praises, especially because I used to only wear t shirt and shorts last time! 

My legs looked so slim and long here hehee!

My family had early reunion dinner + grandpa's birthday dinner!  My uncle made reservation at Long Beach seafood restaurant at East Coast, and we even got a room for ourselves.

Look at my ah gong! 73 this year and his hair still black like charcoal, and it's not dyed one okay, it's all natural! I think I'm the only one that inherited his super ultra black hair hahaha.

Day 19 of 2014.

It has been 2 weeks since I started work at Zalora. I have not done anything too in depth into buying, my job scope currently is only data entry and using excel. Hopefully I can get a better experience of fashion buying soon, if not I have to make plans to make my LOA more well spent!

The company culture is very interesting. The average age is 28 and the office itself has over 30 different nationalities. The company has not much of a hierarchy, which I find it very westernize and interesting. I had worked in many companies, but have never seen a company like that. I especially love to observe the people around me, on how they communicate and their work hahahaha, too bored alrd you know!!! 

Food around town is soooooo expensive! And my intern pay is so pathetic (still got deduct CPF leh !@#$%^%^&) that I cooked my own lunch to work almost everyday! My routine everyday is wake up 30 to 45 mins earlier than usual to cook -> wash up, make up and go out -> work work work ->  come home for dinner, rest and slack a while, wash up -> prepare veggie for the next day -> sleep and it's a repeat again. It's more tiring than schooling I feel! Prolly because it's 10 to 7 and Mon to Fri, when school is only few days and definitely shorter!

I MISS SCHOOL I WILL DEFINITELY WORK HARDER FOR NEXT SEM

ON A SIDE NOTE, an update of my life recently!

Sometime I did up when I was bored! 

Wanted to put this in office, but my office and my table is pathetic D:. I think Zalora is expanding too fast but there's no space to fit all the employees already. So I just left this at home instead...

Had to dress up for work on one weekend, and here's me in Nyonya costume! People said I look damn demure and my mum said I look good in it so I'm posting this HAHAHAH! #egoboost 有没有 有没有！

And then a meet up with the Seattle girls (+ 1 guy)! We just talk talk talk, and sometimes I really suspect Jerome is a girl in disguise because he's so 38 and can join in the gossip HAHAA!

And a shopping trip with my dear bff, and here's what I bought! 3 tops, 4 bottoms, 2 necklaces, and a pair of heels for $197 in total!!! I really opportunistic buyer hahahaha! 

One of  the Taiwanese we met in ASES Taiwan Summit came to Singapore, and we decided to show our hospitality and brought them to Chomp Chomp for dinner! Look at the amount of food we ordered! We managed to finish them all O.O!

Wait ah need to zoom out a bit...

SEEE!!!! And that's not all! Steven (we call him Tomato because his chinese name is Fan jie) ordered another 2 plates of cockles and crayfish!!! The table too small to fit all the plates that the uncle beside us let us put our drinks and plates there HAHAAH!

Taiwanese really very friendly! They kept saying everything very nice, and want to pay for all the food! But of course not, although they are guys, we still split by paying some of the dishes! I think they friendliness influenced the hawker uncles too, a few uncles was chatting with Steven and even talked to him when we were leaving!

Okay that's all off to nua again! Weekend is so precious now!
